So here are my Favorite Five wines... surprised? You shouldn't be.
The Chocolate Block ~ Boekenhoutskloof, South Africa. Only a few barrels are made a year so if you see it on your liquor store shelf buy it because it might not be there the next day.
Fast becoming a cult wine.
Chameleon ~ Jordan Winery, South Africa. Called Chameleon for a reason, the taste is totally different from what you smell (the bouquet). It will blow your mind, but it is hard to find in the States It is sold under the label Jardin.
Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin, France ~ okay I know not 'technically' a wine, but in my top five and this is my list so...
Pinot Noir, Johan Vineyards, Willamette Valley, Oregon. The first winery we take guests to.
So there you have it, now what are yours?
I havent heard of any of these, would love to give them a try :)ReplyDelete
Love the top five list. Did I ever tell you that my Aunt and Uncle have a winery in the Willamette Valley? Orchard Heights Winery.... http://www.orchardheightswinery.com/ReplyDelete
@David ~ you must!!ReplyDelete
@Brooke ~ I will be checking it out and heading on over for some wine tastings.
You know, I rarely drink and know nothing about wine, but you make me want to learn. ;) They recently opened a new wine store in the touristy part of the island. I'll have to make a list.ReplyDelete

my all time fave is Valley of The Moom Pinot Blanc.
