Reality.

T. at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, Brisbane

I came across a writing assignment that T had for his college writing class.  The topic was "Heredity vs Environment."  As I was reading I came across the following sentence.

"Some examples from my life on traits being passed down through heredity would be my Mom's kindness."

At this point I heard choirs of angels singing. My body seemed to float upwards towards the heavens, the clouds parted, the stream of sunlight enhanced my perfect blond/brown hair highlights and  I bowed my head to receive my "You are the Saint of Mothers" halo.

And then I read this.

"However I don't think so."

I have now figured out why God graced with me an ample ass. It is to soften the blow as I fall hard back to earth, and reality.

    2. I do believe there is something to be said for the lessons that get passed down by the Mother and yes Nicki I agree with you and hell am I missing my Mother right now because the lessons she has passed down and still does are valuable.

I read something my son wrote once..
    Q:Who is your hero?
A: my mum because she looks after me all by herself..

    brought tears to my eyes.

  7. Oh, but he didn't say you weren't kind. Just that maybe it's not an inherited trait. Right?

I'm very pleased to know that you are finally grateful for an ample ass! And T didn't inherit that either!

  8. Aww, I think all mothers are kind. You have to be kind to put up with nine months of hell without pinching your baby as soon as you see it for the pain it put you through.

    1. I only had 8 months and 3 of those were spent in the hospital. I constantly remind T. 12 hours of hard labor during an earthquake!
